A flavorful beef biryani rich with oriental spices and natural seasonings, combining fluffy brown rice with tender slow-cooked beef cubes for a luxurious and satisfying meal perfect for gatherings and special occasions.
2 cups Imtean brown rice, soaked for 30 minutes and drained
500 g beef cubes
2 tbsp Imtenan olive oil
1 tsp Imtenan dried onion slices
1 tsp Imtenan garlic
1 tsp ginger
2 tsp Imtenan biryani spices
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cardamom pods
1 grated tomato
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
2.5 cups chicken broth or boiling water
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 cup grated carrots
Imtenan Himalayan salt to taste
Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat, then add dried onion slices and garlic seasoning, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ginger and beef cubes, stirring until the beef changes color.
Add biryani spices, cinnamon, cardamom, and grated tomato, then cook until well combined.
Stir in the Greek yogurt to create a creamy texture and balance the flavors.
Add the brown rice and stir for 1 minute to absorb the flavors, then pour in the hot broth and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and cook for 35–40 minutes until the rice is fully cooked.
Ten minutes before finishing, add peas and grated carrots, stirring gently.
Once cooked, let the biryani rest covered for 5 minutes before serving.
